The network ports can be accessed from a PC that is connected to the 100 Base-TX ports. All network ports are 100 Mbps, 1300 nm ST duplex multimode optical fiber ports.

The QuickSwitch 4289 converter is controlled by using the buttons on the front panel. The front panel control is a simple process and can be done by pressing the button of the required fiber optic network port. The LED indicators in the QuickSwitch 4289 converter display the presence of fiber optic connection and the status of the switch position.

The internal circuitry in the QuickSwitch 4289 converter ensures isolation between equipment and networks. The converter functions as a signal source and prevents the loss of optical signals.
