Clear Align has launched the INSPIRE series of Short Wavelength Infrared (SWIR) lenses, which are used for SWIR detection. The INSPIRE is a family of high performance lenses that have a low F-number of 1.0. The lenses weigh lighter and deliver better performance than any other lens in the market.

The lenses have a Modulation Transfer Function that surpasses the industry standards. This function facilitate the lens to deliver better high-resolution images for infrared tracking, search and rescue, night vision, and various other applications in the imaging band range of 0.6 - 1.7 µm. The lenses can resist adverse environments because of its robust and lightweight mechanical design. The lenses are also athermalized from -20˚C to + 60°C.
Clear Align’s VP of Imaging, Dr. Michael Finlan, said that the company developed the INSPIRE lenses as the customers demanded a lightweight SWIR capability lens that can deliver high-resolution performance at low light levels for UAV applications.
The CEO of Clear Align, Angelique Irvin, said that the INSPIRE lenses advance their strategy in dealing various industry problems and provide solutions that surpass the expectations of customers.
