Magnifying glass is used to look at tiny objects or fine print and they are available in various forms. Magnifying glasses are typically mounted onto a frame with a handle, which looks a lot like a lollipop. Magnifying glasses can also be mounted onto headsets or attached to eyeglasses.

A magnifying lens is basically a convex lens that is used to generate a magnified picture of an object. A magnified virtual image of the object is created behind the magnifying lens. In order for this to occur, the focal length of the lens must be greater than the distance between the lens and object. The magnification power normally ranges from two times to three times the actual size of the object.
