Since its foundation in 1993 TOPAG Lasertechnik GmbH has been established as supplier for lasers, laser-optics and optical measuring equipment. TOPAG closely cooperates with manufacturers from Baltic States, Russia and North America, has widespread and long term relationships and cooperations with relevant companies and research institutes.
Beside its main activities for supply and servicing of various laser types, particulary gas- and pulsed solid-state lasers (incl. customized systems) TOPAG has extended its activities in peripherical fields of laser technology e.g. optics for UV till IR; crystals for non-linear, electro- and accoustooptical applications; holographic materials for interferometry and display technique (HOE).
Recently TOPAG developed and offers diffractive optics, e.g. variable laserbeam attenuators for high power lasers (YAG-, Excimer-), holographic wavefront correctors and beam-shaping elements. Further activities focus on detectors based on microchannel plates for applications in the fields of mass spectroscopy, plasma- and nuclear physics and their applications as highly sensitive optical detectors (image amplifiers).
TOPAG is an active member of the competence network Hessen / Rheinland-Pfalz "OPTENCE e.V.". The aim of this association of companies and university institutes initiated by the German Federal Ministry of Research (BMBF) is the development and promotion of optical technologies.
