Manufacturer of fingerprint authentication technology, Hawk Systems, has designed a new, advanced biometric fingerprint technology device that offers protection against vehicle theft. The SECUREPASS is a fingerprint-identification technology that provides security to vehicle dealers and owners.
Hawk Systems has delivered the first 28 patented vehicle identification car starter devices to an automotive company, 45th Street Auto Sales.
With the Hawk SECUREPASS system, the company focuses on preventing a vehicle theft rather than recovering it after the theft. Majority of current security systems are reactive devices and comprise basic car alarms and GPS systems that trigger radio signals or noise when an automobile is being stolen. Hawk biometric technology-based system provides a proactive measure against car-jacking or theft.
The SECUREPASS is a unique multi-layer fingerprint identification security device that provides more than an optical scan of fingerprints. After the security system is installed, only authorized persons can operate the vehicle. The security device supports a maximum of 16 authorized users per vehicle.
