Ibsen Photonics, a provider of spectrometer modules, has launched the ROCK series of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spectrometers. These spectrometers are designed for the Short wave NIR, VIS, and NIR wavelength ranges. The ROCK spectrometers facilitate fast spectral scans and low power sensing, as it delivers a superior optical throughput.
Spectrometer applications
Customers can re-use the existing device for a new appliance with the help of the optical bench design, which offers easy detector access. This feature also eliminates the time-absorbing re-engineering process.
The ROCK spectrometer utilizes the fused silica transmission gratings of Ibsen Photonics. The gratings render lesser stray light and higher diffraction efficiency than conventional spectrometer gratings. The spectrometer can be used in demanding applications such as at high temperatures, as the device uses dielectrics in its optical path.
Bjarke Rose, Vice President of Ibsen Photonics, stated that the company can now launch the ROCK spectrometer series by utilizing the experience gained from many industrial OEM spectrometer projects.
