VUZIX Announced Agreement with Uvex Safety Group, Germany for Smart Glass Solutions

Vuzix® Corporation, a leading supplier of Video Eyewear and Smart Glasses products in the enterprise and consumer markets, today announced a joint collaboration agreement with Uvex Safety Group GmbH & Co. KG, Germany.

Both companies will explore marketing and co-development efforts utilizing Vuzix experience and IP in optics and wearable technology and Uvex Safety Group GmbH & Co. KG's experience and IP for personal protective eyewear; with a goal to advance the current state of Smart Glasses technology and develop integrated innovative solutions for enterprise users. As a first effort, Vuzix M100 Smart Glasses will be bundled with a pair of Vuzix branded i3 safety glasses and custom mounting hardware for using the M100 on either the left or right eye which is designed and manufactured by Uvex Safety Group GmbH & Co KG, Germany.

Recently Vuzix announced availability of the Smart Glasses M100. The M100 contains a virtual display with integrated camera and powerful processing engine, running the Android® OS, to wirelessly connect via BT or WiFi to your smartphone (iOS® or Android) or other compatible device. Designed to run applications in standalone operation or connected to the internet, the M100 works in harmony with your smartphone to open a plethora of existing and future applications. These include enterprise applications where the M100 plays a practical role in a wide variety of situations, ranging from warehousing, airports, hospitals and more.

The M100 Smart Glasses are now available for order on the Vuzix website for $999.99 and includes an OEM version of Uvex Safety Group GmbH & Co. KG, Germany protective eyewear.
