Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of colorful LEDs in white, blue, green, yellow, yellow green, orange and red mounted on a 0402 ChipLED package. The latest and advanced InGaN and AllnGaP technology is used in the white and blue LEDs of the VLMx1500-GS08 series to increase the light output by three times.
The VLMx1500-GS08 series is ultra thin measuring about 0.35 mm and deliver superior provide brightness with 180 mcd luminous intensity.
The different colored VLMx1500-GS08 series LEDS are grouped by their wavelength, forward voltage and luminosity and provide a wide viewing angle of 130°. The white LEDs are categorized as per the CIE 1931, per packing unit, with regular coordinates of 0.294 (x) and 0.286 (y) and a standard color temperature of 7,000 K.
These LEDs are suitable to promote consistent performance in indicator and backlighting LCDs for switches, indoor and outdoor message boards, symbols, office equipment, interior and exterior lighting, and for audio and video equipment. The LED series is available in 8 mm tape and the products are compatible with IR-reflow soldering procedures. The devices are preconditioned as per the JEDEC Level 2a.
Samples and manufacturing quantities of the VLMx1500-GS08 series are offered by the company. Bulk orders will warrant a lead time of eight weeks.
