Panasonic Australia Unveils Compact 3-Chip DLP Projectors

Panasonic Australia has declared the launch of the PT-DZ20K series. The new series offerings from Panasonic are 3-chip DLP projectors, with a new three-strong flagship range of 20,000 lm.

The new series includes:

  • PT-DZ21K with WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution delivering 20,000 lm of brightness,
  • PT-DS20K with SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution and brightness up to 20,000 lm
  • PT-DW17K with WXGA (1366 x 768) resolution that can generate 16,500 lm of brightness.

The compact PT-DZ21K integrates four newly developed, low-cost 465W UHM lamps to minimize operation costs and to ensure consistent projection. Exceptional image quality is the key feature of Panasonic’s new series.

The PT-DZ20K series achieves a high contrast 10,000:1 ratio. Excellent depth and clarity is facilitated through Detail Clarity Processor 3 engine.

Known to be active 3D stereo projectors, both the PT-DZ21K and PT-DS20K enhance the visual impact of the images being projected.

Daylight View feature with incorporated ambient light sensor enables clear, high-depth crisp images in bright environments.

In addition, the series includes waveform monitor function with flexible color temperature, 3D colour management system, and full 10-bit signal processing.

The latest optical engine and liquid cooling system projection ensures operation in 45°C of high ambient temperatures; Eco Filter and dust-resistant cabinet eliminates replacing efforts by up to 12,000 h.

Lens Memory feature- built projectors enable image size adjustments and different positioning. During show transitions, the mechanical shutter enables image optimization.

Multi-Unit Brightness Control and Edge Blending have been included in all configurations. The PT-DZ21K and PT-DS20K generate different curved screen projections with the help of Geometric Adjustment feature, which can be further improved by using optional upgrade kit, ET-UK20.

For greater flexibility, terminals such as two SDI (3G SDI and HD SDI), DVI-D, 3D timing signal in/out, and HDMI and lens-centred design, powered H/V-lens shift and flexible vertical 360-degree installation can be employed.

Optional accessories include smoke cut filter, multi projector monitoring and control software, and optional lenses.
