New, innovative mid-power XLampML-C and ML-E LEDs have been unveiled by Cree, introducing flexibility and versatility to its comprehensive range of lighting applications.
The extended XLamp ML series has been designed to intensify the deployment of LED lighting. The high-voltage ML package is currently available in color options such as red, green and blue. The ML LED with smaller drivers enables cost effective performance of LED replacement lamps.
XLamp ML LEDs offers the compatibility required to instantly design an array of multiple lighting application products such as decorative, architectural, emergency vehicle, and hospitality lighting as well as linear florescent LED replacements. Having a shared 3.5 x 3.45 mm footprint, common ML package can be modified to improve or upgrade the customers’ product line.
The President of Blue Ridge Lighting Solutions, Michael Pena says that increased flexibility can be achieved with products included in Cree’s ML LED family. The family of ML products, ranging from full white color temperature spectrum with varied power ratings to providing color LEDs is capable of delivering a complete lighting option range.
At 100 mA, the ML-C LED generates luminous flux up to 31 lm in warm white at 3000 K, and 37 lm in cool white at 5000 K. At 50 mA, the XLamp ML-C and ML-E white LEDs version arrays consist of typical voltages of 6.4V and 9.6V each. The complete series of XLamp ML white LEDs delivers 6000 h of LM-80 data, thereby promoting its ENERGY STAR qualification features. The XLamp ML white family is offered in 80, 85 and 90 CRI options.
