AU Optronics is showcasing the latest display technology at FPD International 2011, being held in Japan between 26 and 28 October, 2011. The company will showcase innovative applications such as the 65 in. transparent display panel, the 65 in. Extreme-PR 3D Gesture display panel, the 46 in. Scanning Retarder 3D display panel, the 46 in. Super Narrow Bezel panel, 6 in. flexible displays, smartphone display panels and the AMOLED range of display applications and technologies.
AUO-65 inch transparent display panel
AU Optronics (AUO) has developed three-dimensional solutions by integrating and expanding its advanced 3D display technologies. The 65-in.. Extreme-PR three-dimensional Gesture Display featuring One Glass solution integrates a pattern retarder with a cover glass to achieve slim panels. It also uses a motion detector technology with a dual-camera system to perceive the user’s motion and position in order to manipulate the control interface by means of only gestures. Additionally the Extreme-PR 65 in. display is available with comfortable and light polarized three-dimensional glasses. The 46 in. three-dimensional Scanning Retarder TV panel provides high resolution, full HD three-dimensional images for a better user experience. The 65-inch transparent display panel offers 3X transparency when compared to other designs. Its transparent display provides clear and vivid images and can be used in car windows, buildings, vending machines, shop windows and functional display of home appliances.
AUO will also showcase the 138 in. LED Display Wall, which has been assembled using the 46 in. Super Narrow Bezel LED display panels. The distance between each bezel of the smaller panels is only 5mm. The 46-in. Super Narrow Bezel LED panel offers high definition, full HD images for public information walls and shopping mall displays.
