Lumex Introduces QuasarBrite RGB LEDs for LED Indicator Applications

Lumex, manufacturer of opto-electronic components, has launched new RGB LEDs that are ideal for multicolor LED indicator applications.

According to the company, the fully-automated manufacturing procedure used to develop the LEDs results in maximum cost savings of 25%, when compared to other technologies.

QuasarBrite 0404 RGB LEDs

The QuasarBrite 0404 RGB LEDs integrate low energy needs and enhanced visual performance for LED indicator applications such as portable medical devices, personal electronics and communication devices. They are also suitable for switch and LCD backlighting applications.

The LEDs have a viewing angle of 120° and generate vivid colors. Reduced energy consumption reduces heat dissipation and the units offer dependable performance at current outputs of 10, 25 and 30 mA for blue, green and red, respectively.

The LEDs use a single 0404 that results in maximum real estate savings of 70% and cost savings of 30% when compared to the blue, green and red packages. They are RoHS-compliant and feature an operating temperature range between -40 and 85 °C.
