Photon Control Introduces Versatile Spectrometer for Plasma Monitoring Applications

Photon Control, producer of sophisticated measuring devices, has introduced a new product to its spectrometer portfolio called the SPM-002-XT64.

The SPM-002-XT64 is integrated with a Hamamatsu S11071-1106 CCD detector that has ultra-sensitivity from NIR to UV. It features a pixel arrangement of 2048x64 to receive light effectively from optical fibers with large cores.

The spectrometer features a 16-b A/D converter resolution and a dynamic range of 6520:1. It offers anti-blooming benefits, which assist in differentiating neighboring emission lines with huge variations in power levels.

The SPM-002-XT64 is cost-effective and has a number of salient characteristics including patented optical design to obtain a high-quality resolution. The spectrometer is suitable for a number of solutions including chemical analysis, food inspection and plasma monitoring.

The unique feature of Photon Control’s spectrometers is the presence of an integrated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chip. This chip is equipped to support intense software development tools and manage intricate signal processing tasks. The SPM-002-XT64 is compatible with other products of Photon Control such as the SPL range of light sources and related accessories.
