StellarNet Develops DWARF-Star Spectrometer for Field Applications

StellarNet, developer of fiber-optic spectrometers, has launched a new product in the RED-Wave NIR spectrometer range.

Dwarf-STAR Spectrometer

The DWARF-Star spectrometer features an InGaAs detector array and attains resolutions to 1.5 nm. It does not have any moving parts and its compact footprint enables convenient hardware integration. The device can be used as an OEM product as well as a field-portable device.

The DWARF-Star spectrometer incorporates complete spectroscopy applications in MS Visual C, Delphi Pascal, Visual Basic, and LabVIEW. It also has customizable demo programs, a toolbox of source codes, and SpectraWiz Software. Software support, development manuals, and additional driver interface documentations are also provided.

The spectrometer has spectral data acquisition with sophisticated features such as episodic data capture and time series analysis. It includes post processing techniques such as spectral derivatives, data smoothing, and baseline correction. The spectrometer also features add-on chemometrics packages for run-time, analysis, and multivariate calibration with the DWARF-Star.

StellarNet provides sampling accessories, probes, and light sources to facilitate any kind of NIR application. The DWARF-Star NIR spectrometer is suitable for process analytical technology for various industries such as plastics, oil and gas, chemical, and food and drug. The rugged design, low-cost, and compact size of the spectrometer make it suitable for field applications.
