Edmund Optics has introduced fixed-focal-length lenses for factory qualification, inspection and automation applications that need VIS-NIR or NIR performance. The TechSpec fixed-focal-length lenses offer transmission of up to 1000 nm and have a rugged housing for extreme production environments.
The lenses have a locking iris and support sensor sizes of about 2/3’’. In addition, the lenses feature a focus adjustment function with recessed set screws to avoid accidental lens adjustments. They have a broadband antireflective coating and large maximum apertures to operate in constrained lighting conditions.
The TechSpec lenses are offered in working distances of 165 mm to infinity for the 35 mm and 100 mm to infinity for the 25 mm and 16 mm lenses. In addition, the lenses come with fixed focal lengths of 35, 25 and 16 mm. They have increased tolerance that leads to minimal lens-to-lens variation and enhanced imaging performance.
