Semiconductor Lithography Customer Awards Contract to Zygo EPO Group

Supplier of optical metrology instruments, Zygo announced that its new California-based company, Extreme Precision Optics (EPO) Group, has obtained initial orders from a semiconductor lithography consumer. The orders, totaling $5.1 million, are part of a three-year supply agreement involving volume-based discounts.

Zygo distributes precision optics, optical metrology instruments, and electro-optical production and manufacturing services. The company’s services aid consumers in the industrial, scientific, life sciences, and semiconductor capital equipment markets.

Zygo’s President of the Optical Systems Division, John Stack stated that the company is delighted to receive the new order from a semiconductor lithography customer. He added that the company would expand its product offerings in the life sciences and research markets by using its state-of-the-art manufacturing and designing abilities for complex glass assemblies, precision machined glass structures, and aspheric lenses.
