New Picosecond Laser from High Q Laser

High Q Laser has introduced a new picosecond laser called the picoREGEN High-Energy that offers maximum pulse energies of 1 J. The laser is a suitable tool for scientific applications in Nonlinear Optics or High Energy physics.

The picosecond laser is based on the company’s picoREGEN SCIENCE, which is a regenerative amplifier delivering 12 ps pulse duration and pulse energy of up to 3 mJ. The picoREGEN High-Energy can be run from a single pulse mode at a maximum of 1 kHz repetition rate.

The laser system’s pulse energy can be maximized further with the use of an extra Post Amplification Module. A diode pumped platform maximizes the energy to 200 mJ at a repetition rate of about 200 Hz. A Post Amplification Module, which is lamp pumped, offers pulse energy of up to 1 J at a maximum 10 Hz repetition rate. The maximum pulse energies change with respect to pulse duration, and must be customized to suit individual requirements. To reduce the complexity of the system, the end mirror and pockels cell are integrated within the amplifier module.
