Cree has announced the commercial availability of its new XLamp MX-3S and MX-6S LEDs. The XLamp lamps provide high-voltage configurations for LED bulbs and lamps that face space optimization problems.
High-voltage LEDs can be utilized to attain efficient and compact thermal systems and power supplies. The MX-3S LED offers up to 122 lm at 115 mA/10.7 V under a temperature of 6000 K and 100 lm in 3000 K. The MX-6S LED luminous flux offers about 139 lm at 60 mA/20 V at a temperature of 6000 K and 114 lm at 3000 K. The MX LEDs provide high efficiency, reliability and color consistency for high-voltage LEDs.
The Director of Marketing, LED components at Cree, Paul Thieken stated that the XLamp LED solutions would allow LED lamp makers to produce more economical and efficient designs in various applications including GU10 lamps or A-19-bulbs.
