Manufacturer of surgical lighting devices, Burton Medical has unveiled the new Super Exam 50 LED that provides high illumination over a small area for medical examination purposes such as gynecology and obstetrics. The LED is certified by the IEC 60601-1/60602-2-4/60601-1-2 and also CE marked.

Super Exam 50 LED

The Super Exam 50 LED incorporates a 15W light source that provides energy savings, longevity, and intensity. The LED light offers 39,000 lx of lighting intensity at 24”, without emission of energy and heat usually emitted by a 50W halogen lamp. It provides natural color with a 4000K color temperature and color rendering index of 92. The rated average lifetime of the LED is 40,000 hours.

Burton Medical has integrated an optical system with a LED light source to allow the Super Exam 50 LED to gather and focus the light in an accurate white light beam. The LED has a 42” K-arm technology, which uses internal springs to assure convenient positioning. The arms deliver maximum movement both vertically and horizontally. The arms tilt forward for ceiling and wall mounts, to prevent collisions. However, the K-arm is also suitable for table, rail, and floor mounting.
