James Webb Space Telescope’s Final Optical Components to Undergo Test Series

Ball Aerospace, the teammate of Northrop Grumman Corporation, has integrated the auxiliary mirrors into the aft-optics subsystem (AOS). The auxiliary mirrors concentrate the light derived from primary mirrors into the science instruments of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. It is all set for the next level of testing.

Tektronix Launches Optical Compliance Testing Toolset to Resolve Crosstalk Issues

Tektronix has launched an optical compliance testing toolset for the oscilloscope, DSA8300 Digital Signal Analyzer. The toolset can be used to perform optical compliance test on Ethernet with a speed greater than 10, 40 and 100 G.

Colorado Lighting Provides Energy-Efficient Lighting Retrofit for Westminster Skating Facility

The three-rink Ice Centre facility at the Promenade is one of the most remarkable skating facilities in Colorado. The existing lighting retrofit conserves up to $30,000 of energy costs per year. Inefficient metal halide lamps have been mounted on the three rinks of the Ice Centre that consumed over 1,000 W of electricity.
