Axsys to Display Latest Airborne Surveillance Imaging Systems at HELI-EXPO

At HELI-EXPO, Axsys Technologies, a division of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, is featuring its latest airborne surveillance imaging systems.

HIGHLIGHTS:

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems acquired Axsys Technologies in September 2009. Axsys cameras are known for their superior imaging capabilities and proven performance in the helicopter market. The following cameras will be displayed at HELI-EXPO:

  • Axsys V9 Multi-Sensor: A mid-size, lightweight and user-friendly gyro-stabilized imaging system.   • Axsys V14 MSII: A fully digital, multi-sensor imaging device designed to provide exceptional surveillance and detection capabilities for law enforcement, military and public utilities.  The camera incorporates a proprietary high-performance computer, HD video processor and power conditioning unit, the HDU-900. It works seamlessly with the MSII’s touchscreen console, allowing simplified user input, control and monitoring of all system features. With the system’s unparalleled Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) sensor technology, superior lens stabilization and unmatched continuous zoom capabilities, the V14 MSII delivers high-performance, flawlessly precise images, making it ideal for any mission, day or night.
  • Axsys V14 HD: A flexible, lightweight production broadcast camera designed to provide true scene fidelity and unmatched color clarity. It is available with extreme standoff lenses that deliver unrivaled focal length or wide angle lenses for cinematography applications.
