EVT Smart Multi Thermal Inspector for Thermal Inspection

The EVT Smart Multi Thermal Inspector (MTI) can monitor an arbitrary number of areas for their correct temperature. Additionally a warning can be issued, when the temperature is too high or too low.

For the definition of the monitored plant areas different selection areas can be used. Besides the standard circle and rectangle also a freely oriented rectangle and a freely definable polygon are available. The user can define an arbitrary number of inspection windows. He can use a single window or can merge a logical combination of the areas to a total result.

With the Smart Thermal Inspector the user has 6 digital outputs available, which are freely allocable. As an alternative to the direct IO it is possible to use standard communication protocols for the connection with the PLC such as Profinet or free TCP/IP communication. Therefore either single results or grouped results can be trasmitted directly.

It is possible to connect several cameras to the Smart Thermal Inspector. Therefore even complex monitoring for the correct temperature is easily achieved. Even the monitoring of moving objects in the field of view, can be solved with a search command, which findes structures in the field of view, for example in case the component part feeding is not precise enough. All further evaluations can then be carried out at the detected position.

The built-in statistic allows to keep track of different measurement readings and have the trend of the measurement results at ones disposal. Those values can also be saved in a data base. For this purpose a SQL interface is available, which can either be connected with an internal data base or with an external data base system.

An optional gray-/color image capture extension of the system is also possible and allows the user to capture and evaluate gray scale and color images in addition to the thermal images. An example would be a label with serial number, expiration date or codes (OCR, DMC, QR, bar code), which cannot be captured with thermal imaging. Also possible is the recognition on a display, e.g. a LED which is not only inspected for the correct temperature but also its color.

The Thermal Inspector also has an abundance of evaluation possibilities, which are additionally available. For example the inspection of the temperature on a circle to make sure that the complete circumference of a seal is present and that there are no disruptions.

The EVT Multi Thermal Inspector is the fast way for the easy creation of complex inspection in the area of thermal evaluation.
