Navitar Introduces MicroMate 3X Zoom Lens for High Magnification Applications

Navitar, Inc, a leading US based manufacturer of precision optics and imaging system components, announces the addition of the MicroMate 3X Zoom lens system to their extensive line of high magnification lenses.

The MicroMate was designed to capture and process four times as much data when compared to a traditional optical system. The system images onto a 4/3” sensor and retains the same pixel resolution across the entire field. The modular design and superb optical quality make it ideal for both industrial and life science applications.

The MicroMate 3:1 zoom system images onto sensors with diagonals up to 22.5mm with no vignetting. With a large field of view and fixed pupil position, the lens offers a fixed N.A. over the entire zoom range. It can be combined with any infinity corrected microscope objectives to achieve magnifications from 1X up to 150X. Navitar offers their own line of Plan Apo infinity corrected objectives as well as solutions from Mitutoyo and Motic.

The system’s pupil is located in a fixed position between the objective and zoom module. This allows for the use of a coaxial illumination source, as well as fluorescence, DIC and darkfield imaging. The lens can be ordered with various cameras mounts such as standard F-mount, M42 and C-mount.

Navitar OEM customers are integrating the MicroMate into systems for high-end optical inspection of multi-layer BGA PCB surfaces, semiconductor, LED and OLED modules and much more. Customers in the research and life sciences fields use the MicroMate to image microfossils, digital pathology slides, and live cell samples.
