SloanLED today announces DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) qualification for the latest lighting systems product offering to the commercial sector, Progressive Down Light 3 (PDL3). PDL3 for petroleum canopies is a universal 1‑for‑1 upgrade of existing canopy lights. DLC qualification allows for incentives on the PDL3 from utilities and energy efficiency program sponsors.

The PDL3 luminaire sets new standards with its revolutionary design, optimized radiation pattern, and slim profile. This luminaire saves up to 84 percent of energy compared with typical HID fixtures. PDL3 is significantly improved in terms of size, with a nearly 50 percent decrease in surface area, now totaling a mere 36 square inches. This allows for a one-man installation saving time and install costs. The system efficacy of PDL3 sees a 12 percent increase and a 33 percent increase in available lumen output, with three customizable power settings of 75W, 100W, and 125W.

In addition to the DLC qualification, PDL3 also carries the UL listing and CE mark, as well as being California Title 24 compliant (with dimming control).
