On April 14th, the 13th China - Guzhen International Lighting Fair (hereinafter "the Fair") ended at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. With the strong support of the Zhongshan Economic and Information Bureau, the Guzhen Town People's Government of Zhongshan, and relying on the strong industry background and enterprise resources of the China Association of Lighting Industry, as well as the experienced operations team at UBM Sinoexpo, the professional, market-oriented International Lighting Fair Spring Exhibition was held successfully.

With "Let Guzhen shines brighter and greener" as its theme, during the five days of exhibition, the 13th Guzhen Lighting Fair has attracted 24,547 professional buyers from 83 countries and regions including 874 overseas buyers. 525 exhibitors have participated in the Fair to showcase a variety of products from outdoor lamps, room lamps, industrial lighting, special purpose lights, decorative lights, lighting accessories, machinery and ceramics. There were 268 row space exhibitors, taking up 7,965 square meters, which is 67.8% of the total exhibition area. As for the 257 standard booth exhibitors, they have occupied a total area of 3,789 square meters, which is equivalent to 32.23% of the total exhibition area. The origins of the exhibitors varied drastically from inside Guzhen to outside of the province.
Unlike the previous year, the 2014 Guzhen Lighting Fair launched a new model featuring two editions per year: the Spring Exhibition (13th) in April 10-14, 2014, in order to direct the lighting industry towards the domestic market, and the Autumn Exhibition (14th) from October 22-26, 2014, mainly catering to the lighting industry's export market.
With the Convention and Exhibition Center as the main exhibition venue, the Guzhen Lighting Fair Spring Exhibition has reinforced the "exhibition-shop linkage" model by inviting three leading lighting stores, Bai Sheng Lighting Plaza, Era Lighting Plaza and Swire Lighting Plaza to participate in the Fair and base in sub exhibition venues. The exhibition embraced 250,000 square meters and attracted numerous overseas exhibitors and procurement agents. The communication between exhibitors and visitors was very positive and friendly, and the exhibition's organization obtained high praise from the exhibitors.
Forums and conferences such as the 4th Chinese Light Industry Forum, the LED Forum, the LED Technology Forum, etc. were also held during the Fair to enhance information exchange for the vast number of visitors and exhibitors across different levels and disciplinary.
Compared with the past shows, the 13th Guzhen Lighting Fair Spring Edition focused on the domestic market and exhibition-shop linkage. It aimed to build an international, commercial and professional procurement exhibition platform covering architectural lighting, indoor lighting, LED lighting, landscape lighting and other fields within the lighting industry for local and overseas lighting enterprises, as well as building, lighting and decorations buyers and dealers.
An excellent fair and positive feedback from the exhibitors
On the first day if the Fair, more than ten thousand visitors came to register, most of which were professional visitors from Shang Xi, Gan Su, Shang Dong, Si Chuan and other domestic provinces. Also, numbers of overseas buyers were attracted to the Fair.
The exhibitors included Oupu Lighting, Huayi lighting, Shengqiu Lighting, Qilang Lighting, Shanmu DisplayS, Ming Wei Lighting, Juliang Optoelectronics, Fortes Lighting, Dazu Laser and other famous enterprises. At the same time, the Wei Zhi Union, Guangdong Construction and Decoration Materials Association from home furnishing jewelry industry and Chaozhou Ceramic Association from the ceramic industry also participated in the exhibition to unveil their best products to visitors through closer cooperation.
Many booths were very professional at the Fair such as Oupu and Star Alliance, while at the same time many small booths attracted visitor attention such as Rabbi Lighting and Ommaney Lighting.
Wu Shao Jia, the general manager of Donguan Star gives a very high evaluation of the Fair and states that attending this Fair is very important to him and his company, because it does not only provide more opportunities to let overseas buyers know about his brand and products, but also gives him the chance to keep existing customers.
Wu Guoguang, Deputy Secretary General of the Guangdong Province Building Decoration Industry Association, said, "Guzhen is the most industrialized lighting capital in China, and we feel it to be full of business opportunities, so this is why we come here!" This time, they brought along a total of more than 10 influential industry enterprises, covering a total booth area of as much as3000 square meters.
Cai Yangming, chairman of Wai Chi Union, and one of the exhibitors expressed that the Lighting Fair of Spring edition is valuable business platform to them, and with the exposition will mature, more and more professional and outstanding.
Feng Jianzhong, chairman from Qin Yue logistics stated, "With a history of 15 years, The Spring Lighting Fair is still striving to get stronger and better. It was the first time being held, but overall it was good, in terms of function, appearance, diversity and professionalism."

The Spring Lighting Fair will help the Guzhen accessories industry and improve the competitiveness of the industrial clusters for the future.
