Light+Building, the world’s largest biennial trade fair for lighting and building technology, will be opening its doors in Frankfurt am Main from March 30 to April 4, 2014.
Energy efficiency through networking lighting and building services and technology also determine the product range of the 28 companies on the combined stand organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Hall 10.1, A11 ranging from high quality commercial lighting systems to pendant lamps for the home to adjustable street lighting systems.
In Hong Kong the lighting industry developed positive in 2013. Sales of USD 1.4 billion were up by 15.6 per cent on the previous year and there was also an above-average rise in imports into Hong Kong with growth of 13.7 per cent. Overall, 46 per cent of all lighting products from the metropolis went to the EU and the USA. With increasing demand for more energy efficiency, the sector is continuing to focus on LED lamps and lighting systems. There was also increasing demand for lighting products for the do-it-yourself sector as well as seasonal decorations.

High-quality lighting solutions play a decisive role for the shopping experience. LED solutions can realize completely different effects and moods. LED street lighting is in line with current trends for more energy efficiency in public areas.
