DesignLights Consortium's Qualified Products List Showcases Cooper Lighting's LED Products

Cooper Lighting supplies novel products and develops technology in the lighting industry. Almost 50% of the recommended commercial LED models on DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Product List (QPL) are represented by Cooper Lighting’s products. The QPL, published by DLC serves as a resource for programmers to facilitate the selection of improved quality, high-performance solid-state lighting products for promoting energy efficiency.

The DLC, a collaboration of Canadian and United States utility companies and regional energy efficiency organizations is committed to raising awareness of the benefits of efficient lighting in commercial buildings. DLC’s vision is to implement the advanced design approaches among the commercial lighting market, thereby supporting the architects, constructors, designers and commercial proprietors throughout the nation. DLC intends to promote the energy-efficient and high-quality lighting design in all lighting installations. It also furnishes its users with information and resources on reliable LED solutions.

Cooper Lighting showcases over 3,600 models among the 7,000 recommended products on the QPL, representing multiple brands like Lumark, Metalux, Halo, Invue, McGraw-Edison and Streetworks. The represented products furnish LED solutions for outdoor and indoor applications. Track lighting fixtures for outdoor area, outdoor wall-mount luminaires, troffer luminaires, roadway luminaires, and bollards benefit from Cooper Lighting’s listed products.

The QPL is designed according to the ENERGY STAR program for solid-state lighting products by the Department of Energy's (DOE). The products listed on the QPL should be an efficient commercial LED product, furnishing the standards of minimum performance requirements of DLC. A third-party independent evaluation with product test reports validated by certified labs is necessitated by the program, as a verification of performance like efficacy, lumen lifetime with luminaire operating temperature and color with LM-79 reports and LM-80 reports.
