Healthcare Lighting based in Fairview, Pennsylvania, is designing and producing lighting products to improve the aesthetic appeal in healthcare facilities, which in turn enhances patient comfort level and improves the performance of the support staff.
Healthcare Lighting used its expertise in developing task oriented lighting systems to fulfill the needs of the current sophisticated healthcare facilities such as medical procedure suites and surgical rooms, examination and patient rooms, and specific medical lighting solutions.
According to an independent third-party report, the North American lighting controls and lighting market for the new healthcare amenities surpasses $1 billion every year, while current healthcare facilities have a renovation prospect of as high as $20 billion. The addition of Healthcare Lighting’s medical lighting products will help Acuity Brands to offer comprehensive lighting systems to the healthcare facilities.
According to the Chairman, President and CEO at Acuity Brands, Vernon J. Nagel, Healthcare Lighting’s policy of offering energy saving, superior-quality lighting products emulates that of Acuity Brands. The company is happy about the acquisition, he added.
