The Special Products Group at Deposition Sciences is dedicated to providing durable optical coating solutions through product development, designing, prototyping and full-size production based on the specifications of the customer. Qualification testing, process analysis, verification of external samples for supplier/vendor surveillance and analysis of materials produced in-house are some of the firm’s quality testing capabilities.
The spectral measurement capability of the Special Products Group includes testing spectral ranges between 0.190 and 50 µ. Transmittance and reflectance tests range from near normal to about 45° while cryogenic measurements can be classified from ambient to less than 10 Kelvin.
Environmental testing meets the specifications of MIL-F-48616 and MIL-C-48497. The group can test for salt fog, humidity, temperature cycle, adhesion, abrasion, solubility and cleanability. Other measurements include surface quality characterization, flatness/reflected wavefront error, dimensional verification and surface resistivity.
