Manufacturer of microscopes, telescopes and binoculars, Celestron and Discovery Communications have entered into a North American agreement for a series of optical gear and electronics.
Under the terms of the agreement, Celestron will manufacture numerous optical products under the Discovery Channel’s official lifestyle brand, Discovery Expedition.
The Discovery Expedition optical solutions are suitable for outdoor enthusiasts. The new product line will include Celestron’s microscopes, weather stations and telescopes.
Discovery Channel Licensing’s Vice President, Elizabeth Bakacs stated that the channel is pleased to include the new optical gear in its Discovery Expedition brand. Celestron fulfills the requirements of outdoor enthusiasts for environment exploration, Bakacs said.
Celestron’s Chief Executive Officer and President, Joseph A. Lupica Jr stated that the company is pleased to work with Discovery Communications. He added that the Discovery Expedition solutions would make outdoor exploration interesting and educational.
