Acuity Brands Launches LED Educational Video Series

Acuity Brands, a company specializing in lighting and control systems, has launched five online instructional videos that address questions related to LED and commercial ambient lighting design applications.

The General Manger and Vice President, Lithonia Lighting Commercial Indoor Products at Acuity Brands, Dave Ranieri addresses five major topics and talks about the LED technologies and products in the video series.

The videos feature five main topics, namely, ‘the intelligent control design and networking in room configurations’, ‘pairing of controls with LEDs’, ‘digital lumen management’, ‘cost of ownership’, and ‘the promise of LEDs’.

The ‘Room Configuration’ video shows how a digital network offers a simplified and economical controls solution. The ‘LEDs and Controls’ shows how efficiency is attained when controls and LEDs are combined together as well as the reason behind the use of lighting controls to improve the LED performance.

The ‘Digital Lumen Management’ describes how the LED lighting minimizes over-lighting by enabling a constant light level over the lifespan of the system. The ‘Cost of Ownership’ makes comparison between return on investment and lifecycle costs of LED and fluorescent light systems, while the ‘Promise of LEDs’ addresses the benefits that LEDs provide to lighting consumers.
