Heraeus Installs Suntricity Power Solar Energy System

Manufacturer of photovoltaic components, Heraeus announced that Suntricity Power has completed the solar installation over its Solar Photovoltaics Business Campus located in Conshohocken. Suntricity is a company specializing in the installation and design of solar systems.

Suntricity has been engaged in the installation of the 22.08 kW PV system from the early part of this year. The placement of the panels and the required unique design warranted additional fabrications and engineering before the commencement of the installation. The company erected a custom fabricated racking system over the 2,300 square foot roof area to facilitate installing the solar panels at 34° angle of the roofline. Over 10 tons of steel was used to fix the structure over the hill top location of the company.

The solar installation will allow Heraeus to cut down the cost of its utility bills to the tune of around $50,000 and will help the company to earn an additional amount of $117,000 by trading the extra power produced in the renewable energy market. The solar project will also reduce nearly 535 tons of carbon dioxide discharges over the next 25 years.
