HOYA’s Lasers Feature in LVI’s Dental Training Facility

HOYA ConBio, developer of advanced laser solutions, announced the extension of its sponsorship deal with the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies.

The sponsorship extension makes sure that HOYA ConBio’s DioDent Micro 980 and VersaWave lasers will continue to feature in LVI’s teaching centers till 2013.

The VersaWave Erbium laser is utilized for instruction in frenectomies, smile lift procedures, and soft tissue smile design applications in open flap and closed flap surgical techniques. The DioDent Micro 980 laser is utilized in various procedures such as sulcular debridement, oral papillectomies, gingivoplasty, gingivectomy, fibroma removal, incisional and excisional biopsies.

The DioDent Micro 980 and VersaWave lasers are currently deployed at LVI’s headquarters facility, which comprises 6 lecture halls, a 60 bench hands-on workshop and two 10-operatory teaching clinics.

The CEO and Founder of LVI, Dr. William G. Dickerson stated that lasers are changing the practice and science of dentistry and the quality of treatments provided to patients. He added that HOYA ConBio believes that sophisticated dentistry training is a critical practice improvement tool for dental practitioners.
