RGB LED Illuminated Pushbuttons from NKK Switches

Manufacturer of electromechanical switches, NKK Switches has released its new KP Series of illuminated miniature pushbutton switches.

The built-in RGB LED illumination switches are suitable for custom keyboards, control panels and instruments in broadcasting, security, military, aerospace, test and medical industries.

The RGB LED illumination option enables the use of full color spectrum to produce various color combinations. The built-in Super Bright red/green LEDs are the other additional option. This LED option can be coupled to create amber.

The KP Series pushbuttons comprise square caps with a clear lens and white diffuser. The caps are built to support film inserts, laser etching and to facilitate the inclusion of legends. The switches are available with different combinations of actuation force and stroke travel.

The shorter stroke version offers an actuation force of 1.6N, overtravel of 1.2 mm, pretravel of 2.3 mm, and a total travel of 3.5 mm. The longer stroke version has an actuation force of 1.9N, overtravel of 1.4 mm, pretravel of 3.1 mm and total travel of 4.5 mm. The KP series switches have a longer lifespan.
