Occam Networks has added the new ON 2506 and 2505 GPON Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) to its product line of intelligent ONTs.
Optical Network Terminals
The indoor ONTs are ideal for small-to-medium businesses and single family residences. These terminals enable service providers to help subscribers in managing video distribution, and in-premise data networking. The company will display the ONTs at the 2010 FTTH Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, from September 12 to 16, 2010.
The ON 2506 and 2505 allow service providers to shift the monitoring point and service delivery to the subscriber premise. The ONTs support business and residential services, and provide video, high-speed data, and voice services.
The ONTs support gaming and on-demand video applications that require high bandwidth. In addition, the devices support symmetric Gigabit speeds and four Ethernet LAN interfaces. Both the ONTs offer business class services, including QinQ, and TLS. The ON 2506 offers an efficient video support, and delivers RF video.
