The 9th International Symposium on Scanning Probe Microscopy & Optical Tweezers in Life Sciences will be held in Berlin, Germany. The symposium will cover the optical tweezers technology and the SPM (scanning probe microscopy) applications in medical, biochemical and biophysical research.
Various speakers from Canada and Europe will participate in the event and will present latest research results on diverse topics, ranging from AFM imaging of fibrils to protein folding. Both experts and novices will have the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences.
The event will include discussion about the measuring mechanical properties of biomaterials including the development of soft biomolecular films using microinterferrometry and AFM. A presentation on high-speed manipulation and movement of cell nucleus will also take place for those interested in the optical tweezers technology.
The interactive scientific meeting will have poster sessions where participants will display their research work. A panel of judges will award prizes to the top three posters.
