GAO Fiber Optics Launches 8-Channel CWDM for Telecommunication Systems

Provider of fiber optic measurement solutions, GAO Fiber Optics has unveiled the 8-channel CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing), which is useful for various applications such as telecommunication systems, access networks, fiber optic amplifiers, cellular applications, and WDM networks.

8-channel CWDM

The CWDM provides greater flexibility by expanding the existing fiber infrastructure capacity and eradicating the need for deploying new fiber. The CWDM features an optical path free of epoxy, high reliability, wide passband, and low insertion loss. It functions in the range of 1260 - 1620nm wavelength at a channel spacing of 20nm.

As the 8-channel multiplexer is packed inside a micro optic case featuring non-flux metal bonding, it functions stably in adverse environments. The multiplexer is suitable for Metro Core/Regional and Metro Access network environments, as the wavelengths are farer than DWDM.
