Datalogic Automation’s New Detector Models Deliver Better Optical Performance

Datalogic Automation, a manufacturer of automatic detection, identification, and marking solutions, has launched the new S3Z transparent models, featuring latest optic function, for transparent detection.

S3Z Transparent Model

The high optical performance of the S3Z devices makes them ideal for critical applications. The S3Z models expand the current portfolio with enhanced features of user-friendliness and easy installation.

The S3Z models provide a coaxial optic path in retro-reflex polarized operation to a maximum operating distance of 2 m. To accelerate the setting procedure, the models are offered with a sensibility adjustment trimmer, a 2 m cable version, or a metal M8 connector. The S3Z transparent detectors are available in DARK functioning mode, and NPN/PNP outputs.

The coaxial optic offers remarkable reading on transparent materials such as glass, plastic films, and PET bottles. The optic allows the sensor to be placed in the vertical, as well as horizontal way for eliminating the blind zone problem of the bi-axial optics.
