Insignia, a Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) exclusive brand, today announced it is the Official High Definition Television (HDTV) partner of the Minnesota Twins.
As part of the recently inked multi-year partnership between the two organizations, Insignia has provided more than 450 custom-built, flat-panel HDTVs with screen sizes of 32”, 42” and 65” throughout the Twins new state-of-the-art home stadium, Target Field. The ballpark is set to open its inaugural season April 12.
The Twins turned to Best Buy For Business and the Insignia team early on for help with equipping its new stadium with cutting-edge IPTV (Internet Protocol television) solutions. The Insignia team worked closely with the Twins specifications and developed customized LCD displays that will allow the Twins to link together every viewing screen within the ballpark.

The Insignia flat-panel LCD TVs that will be seen at Target Field are part of the new Insignia Commercial Series product line aimed at entertaining the masses with exceptional high definition picture quality at sporting venues, pubs, restaurants, hospitals and other professional settings. The Minnesota Twins project marks the first ever installment for Best Buy of Insignia Commercial Series televisions. Best Buy For Business, the business to business division of Best Buy, has a dedicated team that serves IPTV and commercial AV needs for commercial venues.
Insignia Commercial Series televisions offer a three year limited manufacturer warranty, ultra high brightness with full 720p and 1080p resolution, durable construction designed to withstand special commercial environments and a special video wall application which allows one image to be broadcasted across sixteen screens. An optional speaker sound bar is also available for the 32” and 42” televisions.
