Optimizing Sample Traceability: Speed and Precision via Laser Marking Technology

Earlier this year, AFYS3G announced the launch of the Information Marking System Lambda768. A next-generation laser marking solution engineered to redefine efficiency in sample identification. Designed for laboratories that demand precision, speed, and adaptability, the Lambda768 enables high-throughput tube marking with exceptional accuracy and flexibility. Capable of processing multiple rack formats simultaneously and it ensures reliable, permanent tube labeling in even the most demanding research environments.

The new AFYS3G laser marker can mark up to 8 ANSI/SLAS racks simultaneously, including 96-well, 48-well, and 24-well format. It is capable of handling mixed formats in a single run, making it incredibly versatile for laboratories that work with varying tube types. With a marking capacity of 500 tubes per hour, the Lambda768 enhances productivity by ensuring fast and reliable processing, enabling laboratories to easily handle larger sample tube volumes.

This innovative system is compatible with tubes from leading tube brands like Micronic, Azenta, and LVL Technologies, allowing seamless integration with other existing laboratory supplies. The built-in turntable for tube racks accelerates the picking and placing process, further optimizing the marking speed.

The Lambda768 offers flexibility in its engraving capabilities, allowing for high-resolution laser markings of images, logos, text, batch IDs, and more, all directly on the tube surface. These laser markings are highly durable and resistant to chemicals, abrasion, and extreme temperatures ranging from -196 °C to +100 °C, ensuring long-lasting legibility even in challenging conditions.

Equipped with an intuitive touchscreen interface and user-friendly software, the system allows laboratory staff to operate it with ease, regardless of technical experience. Additionally, an internal camera monitors the marking process in real-time, ensuring optimal quality control. The Lambda768 operates via an internal PC but also supports external computers, LIMS systems, USB, or TCP/IP connections, making it a highly adaptable addition to any laboratory setup. With a removable side panel, it can easily integrate into automated environments, minimizing manual intervention and enhancing overall workflow efficiency.

Built to meet the evolving demands of modern laboratories, the Lambda768 offers a fast, flexible, and durable solution for tube marking. Whether managing research samples or processing high-volume tubes, the Lambda768 ensures precise, high-quality results every time.
