Z Microsystems Delivers Rugged Military Displays to Northrop Grumman/BAE for GCV Program

Z Microsystems is proud to announce the contract receipt from Northrop Grumman to deliver rugged military displays in support of the U.S. Army's Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV) infantry fighting vehicle. The full term contract includes seven displays per vehicle.

Under terms of the contract, Z Microsystems began shipping units to BAE Systems (BAESF) and Northrop Grumman (NOC) in mid 2013 to support ongoing development of the Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV) program. The BAE Systems-Northrop Grumman team is one of two industry leading groups focusing efforts on technology development contract for the U.S. Army's GCV program.

Z Microsystems’ mission display utilizes state-of-the-art engineering methods and components to deliver the ideal ruggedized viewing solution for extreme deployed vehicle environments. The widescreen panel will feature intuitive touch-activated controls for maximized viewing space in a low profile footprint. The physical chassis design is specialized to promote optimal thermal management, in a fully sealed display that is resistant to moisture, dust and debris.

“We are honored to have been selected the display provider to the Northrop Grumman/BAE Team,” remarked Chief Operating Officer, Jason Wade. “Our organization is fully committed to providing an advanced display solution that incorporates state of the art display capability in an incredibly robust packaging. We are excited to be the soldier’s window to the world for the GCV program visualization package.”

Z Microsystems specialized expertise in ruggedizing hardware helped the company to win the display component contract with BAE Systems and Northrop Grumman.
