NECEC Honors Digital Lumens with Breakout Company of the Year Award

Digital Lumens was awarded the New England Clean Energy Council (NECEC) Award for Breakout Company of the Year at the Council’s annual Green Tie Gala.

According to NECEC, the award is given to an organization that has hit an inflection point in revenue growth and has established itself as both an industry leader and a market maker. Recent winners include First Wind (2011) and Harvest Power (2012).

“Digital Lumens is defining the intelligent lighting space, establishing itself as an early market leader,” said Peter Rothstein, NECEC President. “We look forward to watching them continue to grow and congratulate all of the award winners, which exemplify the innovative companies leading research, development, adoption and deployment of clean energy technologies in our region.”

“We are deeply honored to receive this award, and appreciate all the work that the New England Clean Energy Council and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have done to support the clean energy innovation ecosystem,” said Tom Pincince, Digital Lumens’ President and CEO. “While a truly global company, our roots are here in New England and we draw from the deep well of talent in the region to grow the company.”

NECEC’s 6th Annual Green Tie Gala was held at the Boston Westin Waterfront and attracted more than 400 leaders and stakeholders in the clean energy industry, including company CEOs, government officials, service providers, academics, venture investment firms, labor and large commercial end-users and area utilities. Other 2013 Green Tie Gala award recipients include The NanoSteel Company, 1366 Technologies, Saint Gobain, and Healthcare Without Harm. In addition, NECEC honored Massachusetts Governor Deval L. Patrick as the 2013 Clean Energy Hall of Fame Inductee, for his leadership and dedication in growing the clean energy sector.
