Millennium Dental Technologies (MDT), the developer of the FDA-cleared LANAP® protocol for the treatment of moderate to severe periodontitis and the manufacturer of the PerioLase® MVP-7™ digital dental laser, will sponsor two live demonstrations of the LANAP protocol on a patient.
Charles R. Braga, DMD, MMSc, LANAP clinician and instructor at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, will perform the surgeries at the 2013 Yankee Dental Congress in Boston. LANAP® clinician Marc Nevins, DMD, MMSc, whose human histologic study for the LANAP protocol was published in the 2012 IJPRD - Issue 5, is also scheduled to speak at the meeting. More than 27,000 dental professionals are expected to attend this year's Yankee Dental Congress, held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, including a strong alumni attendance from area dental schools including Harvard University, Boston University, Tufts University, and the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Braga will perform live LANAP surgery on Thursday and Friday during the conference. Friday, February 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. is already sold-out (course #548RL). The newly added 2nd live LANAP session will take place on Thursday, January 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (course #260TL). Dr. Nevins' corporate forum presentation, "Laser-Assisted Periodontal Treatment," will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31 (course #230TL). All three courses are available at no cost; however, space is limited, so register today. Attendees will earn 2 CE credits per event.
