Color Imaging Featured in Teledyne DALSA Genie TS Cameras

Teledyne DALSA has added three new color models that complement its Genie TS camera series.

Based on Teledyne DALSA''s advanced CMOS imaging sensor technology, the Genie TS provides excellent, dynamic features achieved with GigE Vision camera.

The Genie TS color cameras encompass 5M, 8M and 12M models, having extensive speeds up to 29 fps. With unique design and functional capability features, the Genie TS has been designed to cater to the growing speed and image clarity demands of machine vision. Teledyne DALSA’s GigE Vision compliant third party software or advanced software tools has these significant features being in-built in their products.

Higher quality can be achieved by incorporating color within machine vision systems. In addition to grayscale imaging, Color delivers other key information expanding novel dimension for data analysis. Color machine vision inspection can support industries including PCB assembly, food processing, automotive, part presence and/or detection, Intelligent Traffic/Transportation Systems (ITS) applications, print, pharmaceutical, quality and grading applications, and beyond.

Similar to all Genie cameras, the Genie TS Series uses the AIA (Automated Imaging Association) GigE Vision Standard, and is GigE Vision-compliant. Based on Gigabit Ethernet technology, this new series of Genie cameras can carry out effective transmission of data over standard CAT-5e and CAT-6 cables that extend up to 100m, enabling convenience between inspection system and the camera. Teledyne DALSA supports the deployment of the GigE Vision standard, such as incorporation of the technology within its product development initiative.

Using Teledyne DALSA's Sapera Essential software and its Genie Framework package, Genie TS cameras provide simple and high-efficiency camera set-up - from initial set-up to rapid capture of images. Furthermore, based on the advanced Trigger-to-Image Reliability design of Teledyne DALSA, the Genie Framework will foster application development and accelerate the deployment time by providing 360º view of the total acquisition process for developers.
