LumiGrow Offers LED Lighting Solution to Indoor Farm in Florida

Provider of LED lighting solutions, LumiGrow will offer controlled lighting for the vertical indoor farm developed by Algae to Omega. LumiGrow’s LED lighting solutions is expected to increase the algae crop yield substantially at Algae to Omega’s 60,000 square foot plant in Florida.

Algae to Omega is a cultivator of algae for products such as fish meal, cosmetics, and nutritional supplements. Currently, the vertical indoor farm obtains sunlight during the daytime. By using LumiGrow’s LED solutions, the plant will receive supplemental lighting at night. Using the LED solutions enables Algae to Omega to increase production substantially within the same footprint. The LED solutions will also lessen operating costs and environmental impacts. Technicians of Algae to Omega can also alter the color output of the LumiGrow system to address the algae’s photosynthesis needs.

Algae to Omega’s Chief Executive Officer, Geronimos Dimitrelos stated that LumiGrow’s flexible color spectrum makes it a suitable choice for increasing algae growth.
