Toshiba Launches High Output White LEDs for General Lighting Applications
Toshiba America Electronic Components proclaimed that it has introduced a new range of compact, ultra luminous flux white LEDs. The new series ranges from high-color rendering versions to high-output, ultra-efficient versions.
The LEDs have superior luminous efficacy and can be utilized as light sources for numerous illumination solutions such as residential and outdoor lighting, industrial/commercial, retail display, architectural lighting and replacement lamps.
The 1 W white LED in the new series has an ultra compact housing and a luminous efficacy of up to 120 lm/W. The compact dimensions of 3.1x3.8x0.65 mm make the LEDs ideal for small devices. The LEDs¡¦ low thermal resistance provides high durability. The ultra color rendering models resembles like natural light.
Toshiba's white LEDs are ideal substitutes for fluorescent bulbs utilized in general illumination purposes. These LEDs exhibit wide directional range between 130„a and 140„a and color variation range between 6500 K and 3000 K. The chromaticity range of these LEDs meets ANSI C78.377 specifications of. The LEDs are suitable for illuminating large spaces because of their wide directional attributes and specific housing design.
