Philips Lumileds’ LUXEON Royal Blue LEDs Offer High Quality White Light Solutions
The lighting industry uses two methods to obtain high quality white light. Using white LEDs is the most common method. Utilization of remote phosphor featuring a royal blue LED is the second common method, which is becoming popular with the arrival of superior performance LUXEON royal blue LEDs from Philips Lumileds.

In the second method, the LUXEON royal blue LEDs are used as light source and the phosphor is placed at some millimeter distance from the LEDs. In the first method, phosphor is directly applied on the LED chip.
Philips Lumileds’ Illumination Grade LUXEON LED portfolio offers a variety of options to deliver superior quality white light to the lighting industry. The LEDs offer a range of CCT and CRI combinations and high efficiency at 85° C operating temperature. They provide superior LED-to-LED constancy, homogeneous color across the beam and offer less or no color change at operating conditions.
The LUXEON Rebel ES royal blue LEDs provide greater wall plug efficacy of nearly 56% at 350 mA, offering optimized lighting solutions when used with the phosphor component.
