Loaded with an Art Retouch function, the Lumix FX77 from Panasonic can automatically whiten the teeth, shrink the face, enlarge the eyes and can even add lipstick, eye shadow or rouge at the touch of a button.

The Project Manager at Panasonic, Akiko Enoki explained why the feature was “built-in” during the development process. Enoki informed that according to a study half of their digital camera costumers were unhappy with how they looked in a photograph. Thus, the FX77 is an attempt to produce quick-fix solutions without having to reach out for any photo-retouching software externally.
Manipulating the facial features by removing dark circles and adjusting the skin tone can be done with the help of the Cosmetic mode. Most importantly, all these changes can be made in the camera, without the need of plugging the device to a computer.
