Creator Optics Unveils Germanium Monocrystal Windows for IR Laser and Precision Optical Systems

China-based producer of optical components such as window, prisms, filters and optical lenses, Creator Optics has introduced Germanium monocrystal windows that are utilized mainly for light in the infrared (IR) region of wavelength between 2 and 20 µm. At this wavelength range, Germanium monocrystal provides higher internal transmittance.

Germanium monocrystal windows

Germanium monocrystal is a high-quality IR grade window with a diameter of up to 300 mm or rectangular equivalent. The windows are available with polished surface of 20/10, 40/20 and 60/40 and offer a surface precision of up to 1/10 ë.

The size of the Germanium windows is customized. All kinds of tailor-made Germanium windows produced by the company can be utilized in IR laser and precision optical systems. The distortion of the transmitted beam is minimal and thus provides high optimal optical transmission. Both edges of the Germanium window are no-chips beveled and its circumference is ground.
