Styron to Display Plastics for LED Lighting Industry at Strategies in Light Show

Styron announced that it will showcase its plastic solutions for the LED industry at the Strategies in Light Expo to be held in Santa Clara, California from 22 to 24 February 2011.

The company will display its CALIBRE 301-58LT Polycarbonate Resin that integrates high melt flow with high light transmission, making it suitable for LED lighting applications.

Styron provides a wide range of injection molding and extrusion polycarbonate resins under the EMERGE Advanced Resins and CALIBRE Polycarbonate Resins. The polycarbonate resins feature UV stability, heat resistance, impact strength, enhanced light diffusion and improved light transmission, making it ideal for the LED Lighting sector. They are useful for various applications ranging from traffic signals in appliances to retail displays and signs.

Styron’s Global Marketing Manager, Tsuyoshi Okii stated that LED Lighting applications require a balance of color, transparency and light diffusion. He added that the company offers customized, responsive and flexible solutions to customers.
